Scent Awareness Note from Gail Sinclair - Health and Safety Manager from the SSRSB

I have been asked to remind all who enter SSRSB schools of the importance of protecting the health and safety of students and staff by being considerate of the air we share.

EMERGENCY PROTOCOLS AT NORTH QUEENS

The NQCS SAC has requested that we communicate to parents, guardians and the school community what our emergency protocols are. An emergency is defined as an abnormal situation which, in order to limit danger to property or environment, requires prompt action beyond normal procedures.  Examples may include fire, explosion, dangerous individuals, and bomb threat.

School Insurance Program

The Nova Scotia School Insurance Program (SIP) is the non-profit insurer owned by school boards across Nova Scotia.

Since 1988 we have paid for basic student accident insurance for every student in the Province for school hours and activities.  Students/parents have the option to buy additional coverage from the sip.ca website if they are interested.

Breakfast for Learning

Wanted to thank the SSRSB, Breakfast for Learning, Nourish Nova Scotia (provincial funds) and Balcome Resources Incorporated (BMI BRidgewater) for supporting the breakfast program at NQCS.

Also a VERY special thank you to our local volunteers who make sure our students are getting breakfast each morning.

Why have a breakfast program? See below:
